Atomos has presented the Ninja V, a 5 inch Full HD monitor and recorder, with a screen brightness of 1000 NIT. The Atomos Ninja V, like the Shogun Inferno and Sumo 19, supports the new codec ProRes RAW (more on that later). Just like the Sumo 19, the Atomos Ninja V has the AtomHDR processing engine on board with which HDR recordings can also be displayed on the screen. Via the HDMI 2.0 input, the Ninja V can record in 4K 60p ProRes and DNx using the Master Caddy II SSD media. The Atomos Ninja V is available in Q3 2018 from € 695 ex VAT but already too pre-order.


AJA KONA HDMIAJA KONA HDMI
AJA celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and at NAB 2018 they will show the new KONA HDMI, KONA 1.
The AJA KONA HDMI is an 8-lane PCIe 2.0 card to record or stream video games or live events, for example, thanks to the 4 HDMI inputs, 4 different HD sources can be displayed simultaneously, including audio or 1 Ultra HD source. The card uses HDMI 1.4b for 2K / HD and HDMI 2.0 for 4K / UltraHD. The KONA HDMI card works fine with applications such as Telestream Wirecast and / or vMix. The KONA HDMI will be available from June 2018.

De Tangent Wave 2 is the successor to, how could it be otherwise, the Wave. This all-in-one control surface as Tangent calls it has a size of 38.8 cm wide, 28,9 cm deep and 4,7 cm high contains a total of 32 programmable buttons and 3 programmable balls, finally an OLED display showing the various parameters. The Tangent Wave 2 works with the Tangent Hub and Mapper software with packages such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple FCPX, Autodesk Flame Premium, Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve, Codex, Nucoda, Baselight and many more programs.

The Tangent Wave Arc is the panel for color grading software from Autodesk, Digital Vision and SGO. The Arc consists of three panels namely the Arc Grading panel, Arc Navigation panel and Arc Function panel with which Autodesk Luster, Digital Vision Nucoda or SGO Mistika can be controlled. Each panel is made from one block of aluminum, the 5 balls have an optical laser for extremely precise control. The 103 programmable buttons in total also all have a 'push to reset' functionality and the upright OLED displays are dimmable. In the middle panel there is still room for an optional Wacom Intuos Pro medium.
