The Samyang 16mm T2.2 ED AS UMC CS II is a wide angle, manual focus cine lens which is designed for APS-C sensor sizes.
Cine Lens Features
The Samyang 16mm T2.2 is designed for professional video and film. The focus gear ring is installed for professional follow focus systems. The aperture can be smoothly and quietly changed with the uncoupled aperture gear ring. T number markings on both sides of the lens allow one to accurately guide the amount of light transmission and distance. The lens allows for natural shooting under various light exposure circumstances
Optical features
The Samyang 16mm T2.2 features 13 lenses in 11 groups. This includes 1 hybrid aspherical lens (H-ASP), 1 glass aspherical lens (ASP) and 1 extra low dispersion lenses (ED). H-ASP and ASP lenses minimises the color aberration to realise exceptional image quality and high contrast for center and corner image even when the aperture is completely open. The ED lens of 16mm T2.2 II is able to effectively control the light dispersion to prevent flare and ghost. The Ultra Mini Coating technology optimises light penetration also minimises the ghost and flare.
Hardware Features
The Samyang 16mm’s compact and solid construction of high-strength aluminium alloy allows trustworthy images to be captured even under inferior environments. A detachable petal-shaped lens hood shelters the lens from unnecessary light. The lens is available for 9 camera mounts:
