Built by ILM’s Chief Creative Officer, John Knoll, Knoll Light Factory creates camera-inspired lens flares for the visual effects and motion graphics pro. Our new, intuitive Lens Editor makes it easy to customize existing flares and create your own from scratch. Use any of the 135 existing of tools and sprite images, or add your own elements.

LENS FLARES IN 3D
Knoll Light Factory 3 is fully After Effects camera-aware, and can be easily linked with one or more lights in your AE comp.
AUTOMATED BEHAVIOR
Automated flare behaviors, including pulsing, flickering, strobing and more. Works with multiple flares for creating complex animation.
LENS TEXTURES
Add dirt and grime to your lenses, for even more realism. Flares light up one of 12 textures including: Bokeh, dust, scratches and more.
