Ultimate 12 HD Mini

This unique Ultimatte 12 Mini has an HDMI chroma keyer. The HDMI version allows consumer level cameras to be used so that a virtual set can be put together for next to nothing. Perfect for podcasters, for example.

The Ultimatte 12 Mini has three HDMI inputs. One for the foreground (say, the film scene), one for a possibly moving background and a program out. Of course, stills from the media pool can also be used as background. The formats that can be used are TGA, TIFF, BMP, PNG and JPG.

Control HDMI cameras with SDI switchers

The unique feature of the Ultimatte 12 HD Mini is the special function that enables conversion from SDI camera control to HDMI. This means that an ATEM SDI switcher can control an HDMI connected Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. All ATEM switchers perform camera control via SDI and this Ultimatte model can translate this to HDMI for the camera. Simply connect SDI from the Ultimatte output to the switcher's input. Then program the switcher output to the SDI input of the Ultimatte. Finally, the HDMI is connected to the camera. Assign a camera number in the Ultimatte Software Control to gain control over the camera's color corrector, tally and even remote recording trigger. You also get camera control via HDMI when using switchers such as the ATEM Mini.

Free Ultimate Software Control

All Ultimatte 12 models include the free Ultimatte Software Control. Both for Mac and Windows. The main window has menus arranged into sections that control different functions. Although the interface may seem intimidating at first because there are so many different buttons and settings, it doesn't take long to get the hang of it. This way you quickly learn to switch between settings instinctively. While you build your composition. Because Ultimatte Software Control runs on the computer, you can load the Ultimatte 12 frame stores. All settings and photos are stored in flash memory, so they are preserved when the power is turned off.
