Tilta Matte Box MB-T15
Note: This Mini Matte box is no longer available and replaced by the new one MB-T16 clamp-on matte box from the Miraga series. This matte box system is considerably more modular than its predecessors and can contain multiple 95mm and 4×5.65” filters including a Variable ND and polariser.
MB-T15 (EOL)
A matte box prevents light from entering the lens, which causes lens flare that is usually not desired. This Tilta Mini Matte Box is an affordable, lightweight and small matte box with exactly that purpose. Therefore intended for videographers who use DSLR and system cameras. As a result, the matte box can be installed and removed quickly.
The Matte Box clamps onto a Lens Attachment ring. This is screwed into the filter thread of the lens. Round filters are attached to the outside of the filter ring. Four sizes lens rings are supplied as standard and a further five sizes are optionally available.
If the camera is equipped with a camera rig with 15mm rods, it is also possible to use the 15mm articulated rod adapter that is part of the kit.
The Mini Matte Box offers space for one 4 x 5.65” filter. Round threaded filters fit on the outside of the lens adapter ring.
A number of 1/4 "and 3/8" thread taps on the top of the Matte Box allow for mounting accessories such as led lights, microphones, hot shoe, etc.
The matte box is made of a combination of fiber carbon and aluminum and weighs only 140 grams.

Super handy click-on matte box for a low price. Unfortunately, the extra lens rings are quite pricey. Especially if you regularly change lenses and want to provide them with a lens ring.
