Tilta Mirage Matte Box MB-T16
The Tilta Mirage MB-T16 Clamp-on Matte Box is for videographers who use DSLR and system cameras and want to be able to quickly place and remove the Matte Box.
The MB-T16 has both a 95mm filter tray and also offers space at the front for a 4×5.65 filter.
Installation
The matte box clamps onto a 95mm lens. For non-95mm lenses, the kit contains four adapter rings. 6 other sizes of adapter rings are optionally available. See further.
If the camera is equipped with a camera rig with 15mm rods, it is optionally possible to use the 15mm LWS rod adapter.
Modular design
The MB-T16 is part of an extremely smart modular design. The MB-T16 jug has many smart options such as a Variable ND filter (VND). The VND is operated with a thumbwheel or with an optional wireless motor. Look at the optional products or complete kits for the possibilities.
Adapter rings
The MB-T16 comes standard with four adapter rings. These are rings for 67, 72, 77 and 82mm filter sizes. Other rings are optionally available. See “Useful options” or follow this link to the optional ones adapter rings.
VND and Polarizer
Several filters are available from Vaxis for the MB-T16 (see “useful options”). High-quality filters are the Variable ND and Polrizer filters. Operate both filters with a thumb wheel or a wireless motor.
Tilta Mirage
Mirage is a modular matte box system. It consists of a small clamp-on matte box (like the MB-T15 but smarter) with very innovative possibilities. Depending on chosen options or the chosen kit. The most eye-catching option is the 96 mm ø Variable Neutral Density (VND) filter which fits into the round tray slot of the matte box.
