The DZOFilm LingLung 20-70mm is a cine zoom lens with a light intensity of T2.9 over the entire range. It is the perfect combination for cinema cameras with an MFT lens mount such as the BMPCC4K, Z Cam E2 series and the Panasonic GH5 series cameras.

The lens is parfocal, which means that the lens remains sharp while zooming. In addition, the lens has virtually no breathing. In short, breathing is a change of the angle of view during focusing.

The filter size is 77mm, which makes it an excellent candidate for the Tiltaing Mini clamp-on Matte box where this lens ring filter size is already standard.

Save costs on the smart Tiltaing Focus Lens Rings because the lens already has a pitch of 0.8mm on the three rings. But perfect for the Tilta Nucleus-M, Nucleus-N and other Tilta follow focus systems.

Given the weight of the lens, 1100 grams, it is recommended to apply a lens support.

BACK FOCUS

Back focus

The lens is parfocal when the back focus is properly adjusted. This adjustment is done in the following way:

  1. Place the camera with lens on a tripod and aim it at a "back focus Test Chart" at a meter or a position of about three meters.
  2. Loosen the back focus ring.
  3. Open the aperture all the way and compensate for any overexposure with a faster shutter speed or use a standard ND filter.
  4. Now zoom in on the Backfocus Test Chart and turn the focus so that the chart is sharp.
  5. Now zoom out completely and turn and the back focus rings until the image is razor-sharp.
  6. Zoom in fully again and if the image is not as sharp as in step 4, repeat steps 4 to 5 until the focus on both zoom extremes is sharp.
  7. Tighten the back focus ring, very tight.
