Switching options
One of the core features of the ATEM Television Studio HD8 ISO is its ability to effortlessly switch between different video sources. The switcher has eight independent SDI inputs, allowing you to combine different cameras, graphics, and other video sources in your live broadcast. The HD8 ISO's front panel offers physical buttons for direct control, while the built-in LCD screen allows live previews. This ensures intuitive and reliable operation during live productions. In addition, you can use additional functions via the ATEM Software Control on your computer, such as programming macros for automatic circuits and complex production actions.
Live Streaming Options
The HD8 ISO offers multiple options for live streaming, depending on the resolution and quality you want to achieve. An easy way to stream is to connect the HD8 ISO via USB to a computer, where it functions as a webcam interface. This allows you to stream directly to platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, YouTube or Facebook Live, without the need for a streaming key. For more advanced streaming with higher resolutions, such as 1080p or even 4K, you can use the built-in streaming encoder to stream over the internet to platforms such as Vimeo. This requires a streaming key, which you receive from the chosen platform. This method is ideal for professional productions that require high image quality.

Extra Options with Connected Computer
When you connect a computer to the HD8 ISO, you get access to additional functionalities such as the use of frame stores. Frame stores are designed to store still images, such as logos and graphics, and instantly recall them during your live production. While frame stores are great for managing still images, they are not intended for video playback. For video integration, it is better to use a video source such as a HyperDeck within the ATEM environment. Each frame store can contain one still image, with a file size of 1 to 5 MB depending on the resolution and color format. This makes it possible to use high-quality images without loss of quality.
