Last night we sat in front of the “tube” to see what Grant Petty of Blackmagic Design had in store for us. And it was not little. No less than 6 new products were announced. Not just any updates, but serious new products.

The first Tilta Hydra Alien Car mount system for the DJI RS 2 has been delivered to Storm Visual Solutions. Storm tested it and put it on the rack. Conclusion according to leader Rene van Manen: “This is a very good product and was extremely well received”. In two weeks we will be using the Hydra in the first production.
The Tilta Hydra Alien Car Mounting System is part of the Tilta DJI Ecosystem. This is a collection of products and accessories specially designed, in collaboration with DJI, for the DJI RS 2 and RSC 2 gimbals. The Tilta Ecosystem products increase the applicability of the DJI Gimbals. Combining the DJI RS 2 with the Tilta Float creates a Steadycam-like stabilizer. In combination with the Hydra Alien Car Mounting system, a complete stabilized car rig is created for making recordings from moving cars.

Davinci Resolve 17, the most comprehensive software package for media management, video editing, color correction, special effect and audio post-processing, has a new update.
Last night (November 9) Blackmagic Design Davinci introduced Resolve 17 and the Speed Editor.
Described by Grant Petty, CEO of Blackmagic Design as the biggest update in DaVinci's history. Resolve 17 has over 300 new features including HDR grading, AI-based magic mask, improvements in the Fairlight tab and improved editing tools and much more.
Also announced is a brand new keyboard. DaVnci Resolve Speed Editor enables faster editing in the 'Cut-page' with function keys and a 'jog-wheel'.
DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor will be available soon.
The new Fairlight Desktop Console is an audio control panel with 12 touch sensitive flying faders, channel LCDs and transport controls, with HDMI output for external graphics.
Fairlight Desktop Console will be available from December.

The Tilta Ecosystem is a collection of products and accessories that have been specially designed for the DJI RS 2 and RSC 2 gimbals in collaboration with DJI. The Tilta Ecosystem products increased the user-friendliness and applicability of the DJI Gimbals. This includes accessories to facilitate handheld use of the gimbal such as extra grips, mounting options, battery plates, etc. But also car mounting options, a counter balance stabilizing system which, in combination with a waist harness, the gimbal Steady-Cam- like functionality, motorized slider and cable system to move a camera with gimbal over a maximum of 100 meters over a cable. The Tilta cage for Sony a7s III is available. The Sony A7S III camera is specially made for videographers who want excellent performance at little
require light. The a7s III builds on the Sony a7s II.
Tilta jumps in on the success of the Sony by coming up with a very flexible and modular cage for the Sony a7s III. The cages are part of the successful Tiltaing program of cages and accessories especially intended for DSLR and system cameras.
Together with the many accessories from the Tiltaing program, the number of combinations is virtually unlimited. Which combination is the right one depends on the use. To make the choice easier, 8 different kits have been put together. The kits vary from a half or full cage to the most extensive version provided with
a Mini Matte box and Mini Follow Focus.
The new cage is designed to expand and protect the a7s III, as well as to add accessories. Accessories such as the new rotating top handle, rotating side handles, standard ARRI rosettes and much more.

For less than EUR 10K, you can soon own a revolutionary 12K URSA Mini camera. The URSA Mini 12K has a Super35 sensor with a resolution of 12.288 × 6.480 pixels. Fortunately, the camera can also record in 8K, 6K, 4K, and 2K. The camera comes standard with a PL mount, but an EF is available for a small additional charge.
Just like for the URSA Mini Pro 4.6K, a special 12K URSA Mini recorder is available.

Last night Blackmagic Design has the new ATEM Mini Pro introduced. The ATEM Mini Pro is an extremely compact live four-channel video switcher with an unprecedented amount of streaming options for the size and price. Besides switching between four video channels and six stereo sound channels, it is possible to apply graphics such as logos and titles and special effects such as chroma key in the live registration. Furthermore, the ATEM Mini pro has a multifunctional HDMI video output that can serve, among other things, as an extensive MultiView. Many of the features are unlocked by the ATEM Software Control App available for MacOS and Windows.
